Inter
Inter was drawn for screens first, with a tall x-height and open apertures that hold up at twelve pixels inside a dense interface. The variable version carries an optical size axis alongside weight, so small settings get looser spacing and large ones tighten up without you managing it by hand. It has few opinions of its own, which is precisely why it disappears into dashboards, documentation and product UI.
