Plus Jakarta Sans
Commissioned as the identity face for the city of Jakarta and then released openly, which is a better origin than most geometric sans faces have. It is built on circles the way Futura is, but the details refuse to behave: the terminals cut at angles, the tail of the a swings out, and the whole thing has more personality than the genre usually allows. Variable from 200 to 800 with a true italic, and it covers Vietnamese and extended Cyrillic.

- Yes. Plus Jakarta Sans is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows commercial use with no fee and no attribution requirement. You can use it in client work, in products you sell, on the web and in print. The one thing you may not do is sell the font file on its own. The licence is inside the download.
