Big Shoulders Display
Drawn for Chicago, and it looks like the city’s signs: tall, narrow, straight-sided capitals with the industrial plainness of painted lettering on brick. The weight range runs from a hairline to a black, and the thinnest weights are the surprise — elegant in a way condensed gothics rarely are. The display cut is spaced for large sizes; it is not meant for paragraphs.
