Most revivals go back to the eighteenth-century specimens; this one takes its cue from the hand-lettered Caslons of mid-twentieth-century American advertising, which were sharper and more theatrical than anything cast in metal. The contrast is high, the italic-like energy shows even in the roman, and it wants to be large. Its text-size partner, Libre Caslon Text, is in the archive too.
